Welcome to BobKat's Lair ®

A lair is a home; A castle; A burrow; A haven; a place where one should feel safe. To ensure our safety especially in one's lair, we have laws. And some laws cause more harm than good!

This is a good place. There's lots to see and do. It's apolitical while providing non-partisan news about politics, which we can't escape.

Check out my aquarium and feed the fish; check out my post(s), my favorite media list and the many links to websites that promote what I feel is important.

Time for the awakening...

That is what my goal is here... to present topics which highlight the plight of people. Why, 2000 years after Caesar Augustus, are we still a people being hurt? With all our advancements in technology, medicine, communications, why are we a people still being hurt? Human nature hasn't changed much, but that doesn't mean it isn't time now for that to happen, and it is undoubtedly happening - hard to see however. This blog is part of that change and a witness to it.

My blog is dedicated to my family, friends, mentors, and all others whom I am grateful to, and love(d).

A week without a cigarette...

Tomorrow... PROP 19 - THE GREEN, from the state of California, and the batlle lines are drawn, and poised...

ERIC HOLDER - US Attorney General: vows to ... "SAN FRANCISCO — Attorney General Eric Holder is warning that the federal government will not look the other way, as it has with medical marijuana, if voters next month make California the first state to legalize pot.

Marijuana is illegal under federal law, which drug agents will "vigorously enforce" against anyone carrying, growing or selling it, Holder said. you can read it here:

I've been saying all along the crimes, are not real... the penalties, are not always correct... the victims are many...

  1. "Do You Want a treatment?"

  2. ECHO... Germaine Echo... Coming soon!November 1, 2010 at 10:23 PM

    "have I been asleep?'

  3. I'm off here to vote here in Pennsylvania nothing so glorious far left as usual.......

  4. I spent my vote stuck in traffic - probably because of an accident... with everyone in such a hurry to go nowhere. Polls closed at 7PM, just as I got on the interstate.

Hope you got your vote in... far left can be good... better than far right!

  5. Sorry Bob no pass I'm sure the folks in California won't give up.

  6. Ha, don't worry I canceled one of your votes out with my conservative leanings (ok, I do vote libertarian some as well).

  7. If Prop 19 had passed in CA I'd have been really upset! I'm too old to move to CA. What happened in CA with the 46 - 54 % vote for Prop 19 was a message to the world. That nearly half the citizens of CA are in favor of legalized cannabis, and most likely that figure is on par with the rest of us US citizens.

Sure, I had a secret, well, crazy hope it would pass, but I really didn't believe it could. Not with 70+ years of hard-core federal/states propaganda; condemning it.

Prop 19 wasn't about legalizing cannabis, per se, but rather, it was about legitimizing an objective, mature discussion about cannabis once again being accepted in our society and common sense, that makes clear - the country is currently nearly equally divided on the subject.

If we had a vote on whether alcohol and tobacco are safe to use? How do you think we'd vote?

Slam, you didn't!!! You "canceled one of my votes"? How could you? Then again, save that Libertarian vote for 2012 when We The People correct the Reefer Madness mentality that has driven an insane war for 70 years. At least you got to vote!
